The Jordanian musical heritage survey project
The Jordan Academy of music, with the support of the
Ministry of Culture, has launched in 2002 an exhaustive
survey of the musical heritage of the complete area of
the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. For this purpose a
large quantity of musical material varying in form and
character, as well as in national, religious and social
origin, has been collected and recorded onto 450 compact
disks doubled by an equal number of cassettes and
booklets with the transcription of the music and text of
the recorded material.

Secondly:
The school curricula project
The Academy, in implementation of an agreement with the
Ministry of Education, has composed the musical
curricula for public schools from the sixth to the tenth
elementary grades, accompanied by illustrative musical
material recorded on tapes and compact disks. The
curricula were highly praised and appreciated by the
Ministry of Education that described them as
comprehensively achieving the set cultural and
educational objectives. For the School Curricula Project
the Jordan Academy of Music was awarded El Hassan Bin
Talal Award for Scientific Excellence.

Thirdly:

graduates for the local and international labor markets.
