Why JAM???

The Jordan Academy of Music (JAM) offers Music courses for beginners and music lovers of all ages starting from the age of six.

Students can learn to play a variety of Western and traditional Arabic instruments, being taught and instructed by highly qualified and professional teachers, using modern teaching methods and approaches.

What Instruments can you learn to play?

  • Piano
  • Wind instruments such as Flute, Nay, Saxophone or Clarinet.
  • String instruments including classical Strings like the Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, but also the Guitar, Oud and Qanoon.
  • A variety of Western and Arabic Percussion instruments.
  • Western contemporary and Opera singing as well as Arabic singing.

We also offer courses in:

  • Musical Composition, instrumentation and orchestration for those who like to write their own music.
  • Using the computer for music composition, arrangement and in studio-recording of music.

In addition to practical courses the Academy offers a variety of supplementary classes that include Theory of Western and Arabic music, Musical solfege, Appreciation and History of Music.

Musical Courses are held in two four-month semesters in addition to a summer semester lasting one and a half months scheduled as following:



  • 1st Semester: - from September until January.
  • 2nd Semester: - from February until May.
  • Summer course: - during July and August.
  • You can choose any combination of classes as well as define the duration of each lesson in accordance with your level and possibilities, and we will do our best to work out a flexible and comfortable schedule of lessons.
  • In addition to our annual concert featuring students of the Music Courses we also hold several internal concerts and workshops during the year, thus enriching the process of music learning with the essential experience of public performance.

Our students also have the opportunity to obtain international certificates of their achievements by applying for the practical and theoretical examinations of The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) that are held twice a year.
